Yes. We advise washing your Tomoto clothing on 30°c, do not tumble dry and only iron when necessary.

To prolong the life of your clothes, it is recommended to turn them inside-out and wash in a standard or delicate washing cycle. Take out of the machine as soon as the cycle is finished, reshape while damp and hang dry.

Bamboo viscose is a regenerated cellulose fibre made from bamboo.

The fabric feels soft, lightweight and breathable making it ideal to wear as a base layer. Our bamboo t-shirts help to wick moisture from the body, regulate temperature and stay fresh for longer with naturally antibacterial properties. The fabric also protects from UV rays and is safe for people with sensitive skin.

Growing bamboo is great for the environment as it thrives naturally without the need for pesticides and is extremely efficient at absorbing carbon from the atmosphere and turning it into oxygen. Bamboo is also one of the fastest growing plants and can be harvested regularly, meaning it is naturally sustainable.

While the cultivation of bamboo is great for the environment and local communities, the process of transforming raw bamboo into a viscose is chemical intensive. We are looking into greener processes, but in the meantime we are confident that our t-shirts are a step in the right direction for a more sustainable future.

Organic cotton is cotton that has been grown with low-impact farming and processed ethically and responsibly with respect for workers and the environment. The end result produces a high-quality fabric that is safe and soft on your skin.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world, but it’s also the most chemical-intensive, using huge amounts of harmful pesticides. These are among the most toxic chemicals and can have devastating effects - local ecosystems can be destroyed and thousands of farmers die from exposure to these chemicals every year.

Of the entire cotton industry, less than 1% is certified as organic.

Look out for GOTS and OCS certifications to ensure that your cotton has been grown in a responsible way that makes a positive impact. It’s better for the environment, the workers and it’s much better for your skin too!

The designs are created by our founder Tom.

Artworks are made digitally using Adobe Illustrator and a drawing tablet, before screen printing onto the garments by hand using water based inks.

We take inspiration from the things that interest us. The idea is to create original and engaging designs with an embedded meaning. We explore themes such as nature, minimalism, music, modern society and cultural symbolism.

Our products are made in Turkey and in India. Goods are sent to us in the UK where our clothing is then decorated and sent to customers.
